BarFly's Review of Spyce
Spyce Gentlemen's Club has been open just a couple years or so but if you haven't heard of them, their aesthetically pleasing print and web campaign make a good first impression.
The venue has two floors ("twyce as nyce!", three bars and 40 girls employed. Their menu includes starters, soup and salad, burgers and sandwiches, entrees and desserts. Spyce also has a discount menu everyday, 3pm - 10pm.
Buy a VIP pass for your buddy and get them free admission into the club, or reserve a birthday party, bachelor party, or better yet, a divorce party! Champagne Room 1/2 hour equals $250 - 1 hour, $450! Reservation line: 503-243-4646.
Hours: Noon to close, daily

October 22nd a bunch of us went out for my birthday rented a 15 passenger can a lot of cash to spend and have a good night. The ladies were beautiful drinks were awesome and the music rocked. But that's the beginning. A lovely lady while coming down the pole swung out to far kicking me in the head. Did I mind, of course not. She was more than apologetic and very friendly about that incident. Of course our group had a lot of drinks and had a great time. I guess the bouncer said I bumped into one of the strippers while walking around cause heroes my friend I needed to leave. He also said I was wandering. Though feeling pretty good at that time with 15 people there I had friends up stairs and down stairs so I was visiting them. As far as "bumping" into the stripper it's funny cause as we were leaving she walked up and appologized to me. Id be sorry too if cause like I said we dropped almost $300 between us all in tips. So the bouncers need to chillax a little cause needless to say our night didn't end at sassy's. And would have loved it too.
Me an a couple of fiends were out celebrating my buddy's 21st birthday we were originally apprehensive about going to a strip club on a Monday the old cliche of the b-team. this was definitely not true plenty of good lookin girls of all types dollar tips seemed to do the trick the girls were all over me and the birthday boy was getting lots of love. there was a girl named brooke or brooklyn Im really not sure which but any way she was fantastic personable hung out with us all night really made the night. the only negative i could say was the drinks wee pretty spendy but its downtown portland finding a cheap dive to get you drunk on before you show up wouldnt prove to be difficult either way great night great girls great club
I've just discovered this place, and I love the music the DJ plays and I got some great up close and personal time with a dancer each time!
First of all I'd like to start by saying if your main concern is the two drink minimum maybe you dont have the money to be in the strip club in the first place. A bar might better suit you. I go out of town for work two weeks out of every month, so I am frequent stip club patron. I went to Spyce for the first time three weeks ago, and I can't wait to go back! I sat with a girl named Brooke she was amazing! Not only stunning, but a great personality I was shocked to say the least. I choose to purchase time instead of song to song lap dances. I spent two half hours with Brooke and can say she is the most amzing dancer I've ever met! I will be back to see her soon.
Was in Portland for business, and went out to discover the city. While Mary's and Magic Gardens had much better deals on drinks, the girls at Spyce were well worth the extra $1.50 per Jack and Coke. True, they only go topless, but they look great and are fun to talk to even without a dance. I look forward stopping back by next time work brings me to Portland.
Stopped by while waiting for friends. Extremely friendly, beautiful dancers. The will sit and chat with you. They only go topless but who notices. They do get up close and personal right at the stage. Great stage layout with no rail.
Usually there is some variety and most nights there's a lap crawler (those glorious creatures that crawl on your lap for singles and not 20s) and on this particular night a friendly Asian stripper with a chest too boot. For the sake of my bank account I must try to avoid the place because this one knew how to get the dollars out of me. Thank god I only had 30 minutes to kill.
I think they should mention that there is a 2-drink minimum with this $9.99 steak/lobster special, so comes to $15+tips rather than just $10+tips. No where on their printed ads in Exotic magazine or their MYSPACE site mentions this, and I would think this is false advertising, as it implies I can just get a steak/lobster dinner for $10+tips when that is NOT the case. I've been to strip clubs where you can either have 2 drinks minimum OR get a dinner and not have to worry about the 2 drinks minimum.
