BarFly's Review of Roadside Attraction
The patio's the big draw at Roadside Attraction. A true urban oasis in the midst of Southeast industrial's ongoing developement, it's a flower-laden retreat one would never expect in a recovering warehouse district. Kitchy, tiki-rific decor throughout adds to the charm. Food is hit or miss, but when it's good, it's terrific. Cigar friendly.

I like this bar. Low pressure, free juke box. Laid back. The owner is cool, the staff are cool, my crew and I are NOT the normal patrons, but they treat us like regulars...
Horrible beer selection, worse food, gorgeous, kitchy, mysterious, sweet patio and decor. I *so* desperately want to while away nights in the woodsmoke...water and feed me and maybe I'll come back.
This is one of my favorite places in Portland. I love the vibe the food is great! If you haven't been GO! It's especially nice in the spring/summer they have a nice open patio.
Meet me here Friday for a make out session - if you're a hot chick who can hold her liquor that is. 420 friendly preferred. Barflymag.com, it's no longer just strictly for bar reviews. Meet sexy singles here now. No subscription required.
Really, though. This place is great. It's a wonderland of semi-private thatched nooks out on the patio and Polynesian/parlor room/Chinese restaurant decor inside.
I enjoyed a generous pour on the Knob Creek shot I had, and the food was tasty. They have PBR and a few nice micros as well. No place quite like this in all of Stumptown. It's a great place for outdoor patio seating and enjoying the summer.
Do keep in mind that it's cash only with ATM inside. Bar closes at 1 AM and the patio closes to drinks at 11 PM, though smoking is still a go. Plenty of bike friendly parking on the side.
There is a sense of comfort from all the junk and eclectic decoration. I love the Chinese restaurant woodwork towards the back. Mellow atmosphere. Cool without being poser-ish.
Visited the place on a Wednesday and fell in love with it. The Music they had was great. Jack and Bill were the musicians. I told my friends about the place and we were all gonna meet there, but found out they no longer played there. Please bring them back. They were great.
I went in right as they opened. Walking through the huge outside space, I instantly felt like I just left a broken car in the desert somewhere in New Mexico and stumbled into the only watering hole for hundreds of miles. It is an oddly comforting experience. The interior is something you would find in some backstreet Hong Kong antique/junk shop which, again, is somehow fitting and "right".
Plenty of beers on tap, booze and you can smoke outside in the massive, fenced-off front patio. An excellent place to go on a spring day or to take out-of-towners to prove Portland Is Weird but I personally wouldn't make it a daily stop since The Basement is three forward lurching steps away.
