BarFly's Review of Morrison Street Bar and Grill
Immaculately clean and totally under-rated, this is the spot for hearty food and a drink with the mature crowd of regulars around the horseshoe bar, or on the pleasant, largely unpopulated, tree-shaded patio.
Remodeled from an old gas station, try not to get disoriented by the Narnia-like trip to the restroom.
TV x3, video poker/Keno.
Open 11am-2:30am Monday-Friday, 10am-2:30am Saturday and Sunday.

You want to talk about service, this is the place. Kelly is the best bartenderin town. Very high spirits, and great with customers. My hidden gem for portland. Great drinks, excellent sandwiches and breakfast all day. Just a perfect place to get away and sit on the patio to people watch. You must go!
I don't know where to start other than - Breakfast served all day ! The eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce is better than any other place in town ! Not a fan of hollandaise than have a country benedict made with home made sausage gravy instead or a juicy filled omelette. Don't stop at Breakfast, they also have a full menu of other tasty items and daily specials everyone loves! I'm just a breakfast fan : )
I can't say enough great things about Morrison, other than its a hidden gem. The owner Terry is wonderful, always making masterpiece recipes from scratch. I just wanna know how she does it !! While Sharon serves with her warm smile and always has friendly banter, She makes a Bloody Mary that will leave you craving another. She has amazing drink concoctions, do toss out a challenge, you won't be disappointed.
So now that your appetite and thirst has been quenched , play a game of pool, touchscreen, music on the itune box or even some video lottery if your feeling lucky ! Its also easy to strike up conversations with the other patrons, who are always friendly !
With summer around the corner, get ready to ask for patio seating and enjoy your accoutrements outside.
There really isn't a better place to escape to that feels like a home away from home. Did I mention they also have parking? One more reason why Morrison gets another thumbs up.
Do go see for yourself, you'll be happy you did !!
Strong drinks, good food, chill place, super nice servers!! Patio great on sunny days, nice place to watch ball games & just a perfect neighborhood bar. A must see.
Love the customer service & Sharon the day bartender! Food good & great daily soups - nice, safe place for a single woman to sit and have a drink or play lottery games. Always feel welcomed when I walk in the door.
Drop by and check it out - you will be happy & satisfied when you leave!
I drove by this place for years figuring it to be one of those stuffy places until I read the reviews on it and decided to give it a try. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is relaxed. A neighborhood kind of bar... like "cheers" where evrybody knows your name.
If it weren't for Jen, the above-average food, and the throng of rowdy kayakers every Thursday, I'd never have seen the inside of this place...nor would I eagerly return each week for more kickass service and dirtbag camaraderie.
Some would say it's a closet dive with a thin veneer of class. I'd say that too, but it doesn't dampen my love for Jen and the Morrison St. B&G. :)
