BarFly's Review of The Hilt
The Hilt has unearthed comfort Greek food from an under-appreciated, over-salted to the point of Carthaginian tradition; who hasn’t had a tzatziki-dipped nightmare from some ill-advised run through menu of Mediterranean-titled dive beloved for reasons beyond the late night eats?
Through fresh ingredients – they even make the yogurt in house – and an affordably enlightened take upon the plethora of classic diner pillars, the folks sharpening the Hilt (also behind Stark Naked Pizza; company picnic athletic contests should be fun) have built a reputation deservedly more renowned for eats than drinks.
Nevertheless, Diogenes-styled dipsos searching for an honest bar at this long-poorly-used Alberta space seem pleasantly rewarded by the low-lit leather booths ‘round winter and a bristling A/C that keeps an indie-for-the-area clientele cool as the cucumbers spanning the menus. For smokers, there’s a patio, and, Spartan décor acknowledged, we’ll drink in the shade.
Hours: 11:30am-2:30am daily.

I've been in this place four times... this week. Pleasant, fast service, decent sauzeracs, good selection of microbrews, excellent happy hour ($2.75 micros and cheap, tasty food, all day Sundays!), cozy quietish atmosphere conducive to good discussions, pool table, good juke-box, nice patio... what's not to like?
Please, please, please go to this joint. Other ventures in this spot have failed in short order, but I want these guys to stick around for a long time. The food was delicious and the Greek cuisine is a welcome addition to the Alberta scene. The drinks were generous with a good selection of local brews on tap. The service was very friendly and attentive. Give it try and then go back some more :)
Stopped in while out on a walkabout and drank a pint. Place looks good, nice outdoor patio, interesting Greek/Turkish influenced menu, pool table, private inside booth seating, friendly bartender (Johnny). Will definitely stop in again for a meal with a few friends. Looks like a good spot to enjoy a sunset and late meal outside.
