BarFly's Review of Chopsticks III: The How Can Be Lounge
Karaoke seven nights a week at the roadhouse-like sister bar of East Burnside's popular Chopsticks Express. There is a covered smoking patio, you can bring your drinks with you, but there is no heat yet. Still, drinking+smoking is a qualifier.

Every time I go here for karaoke, there seems to be a large group of lesbians mixed with "normal" folk. And they all sing country.
The KJ has a great voice, even if he does think he's Freddie Mercury.
The food is to be avoided unless you're really trying to throw up. The liquor is cheap. The song selection is good. And it is almost never crowded on a weeknight.
I used to frequent Chopsticks II, until it started taking 2 hours between songs due to all the people. A friend of mine (who was also a Chops II regular) told me about Chops III, so I checked it out with a friend. The drinks are strong, the food is good and the music selection is broad. Everyone is super friendly and I've had a blast every time I've gone in. It kind of sucks that, due to the part of town they're in, they have to close early (1am, I believe), and have to have an armed security guard. But, it still beats the insanity that is a Friday or Saturday (or, hell, even a Wednesday) at Chops II.
