Add your own review or commentThe atmosphere in this place is pretty drab. I know it's supposed to be like a chapel but does it have to be so subdued and boring? Although, architecturally, it is pretty. The organist playing modern music was an interesting quirk but was not overly engaging. I disagree with the others on the food, I think it's good (better than their beers for sure). The captain neon burger is amazing and I love the greek salad.
At least you know it'll never be too crowded... I'll return some day when I'm feeling a little anti-social and in need of a reliable meal.
In my opinion, every McMenamin's is just barely a step up from McDonalds... they always have slow service, and the food is only so so, as well as their brews. My friends think I'm crazy for saying this all the time, but they go for the atmosphere, not actual good food or service. I have to give it to them though, the places are neat, like a more hipster TGIF, but the poor service and beer keeps me from going to any of these places usually.
I went in for a quick bite before my final at PCC Cascade. I was greeted by a miserable waitress whom couldn't be bothered to smile, even when I made one of my not so funny jokes. I ordered F&C which shouldn't take long, right? Wrong! 32 minutes for my food to arrive. Strangely enough a meal for the other 1-top whom had ordered at least 10 minutes after I. When I asked for a to-go box as I didn't have time to eat after waiting so long, it was tossed at me with no apology. And no singles were handed back as if they didn't expect a tip in spite of. Thank you Chapel Pub for reaffirming my hate of all things corporate McMenamins!
